Why should we use a consulting firm, rather than developing our own solution?

I/O Technologies can free you to focus on your work, rather than the technology you use to do the job.  We save you time and money because we can anticipate and avoid problems that may go undetected by inexperienced professionals.

How much will our project cost?

The cost depends on your project’s scope. If you need to justify the investment for budget approval, we can help you prepare a cost/benefit analysis.  Most projects pay for themselves fairly quickly by boosting productivity and opening the door to increased sales.  It’s foolish to shop on the rate alone–especially for custom programming services–because the competency of individual programmers can vary significantly.  We offer competitive rates, but we know our services aren't for everyone because some prefer getting less by paying less.  Contact us to discuss how our experience and software will cost less in the long run.

How closely involved must I be?

Although we respect our clients’ time, we rely on regular input and reality checks from a designated business expert in your company. This helps us move efficiently toward a solution that your users can readily embrace.

Why should we work with you, instead of a larger firm?

When you pick up the phone and dial our number, you can dial the extension of anyone in our organization, from the President on down.  You’ll receive personal attention from our employees–highly skilled, dedicated programming professionals.  We’re committed to your satisfaction, and we’ll actively work to earn your trust.

Do you provide a warranty?

We offer a 6 month warranty on every software piece delivered.

Which industries have you worked with?

Established in 1994, I/O Technologies started by providing software solutions to the banking industry. Since then, our client base has expanded to include clients in manufacturing, distribution, insurance, medical billing and credit card processing.

What are your payment terms?

We’re willing to negotiate terms, but here are the typical standards we seek to use:

Projects less than $1000

100% advance payment

Projects between $1000 and $4000

50% advance retainer payment

50% after delivery

Projects more than $4000

40% advance retainer payment

40% after beta version delivery

20% after final version delivery

If you prefer to use our services on a time-and-materials basis, we will send you an invoice on the 1st and 16th of each month.  All source code will remain in escrow until payment is made in full.

What are your strengths?

Our main strengths are in building bridges between systems, so that you only have to enter data once.  And when it comes to support, you can reach us 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Our national client base counts on our ability to quickly connect into their systems remotely to provide support.

What are your weaknesses?

Our office is situated right next door to a candy shop, and our collective sweet tooth has started to affect our waistlines.   Other than that we really have no weaknesses.

What programming technologies are you experts at?

We have experience in a wide range of today's technologies, including Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, HTML, XML, XSLT and MS SQL Server.  In addition, we have a considerable amount of experience developing and supporting Microsoft FoxPro applications.  Whether you’re looking for someone to upgrade your existing application, migrate it to .NET, or create a new solution, I/O Technologies can help.

How will you protect our Intellectual Property?

We exercise a very high level of confidentiality in regard to your business operations and your trade secrets.   All our employees sign confidentiality agreements when hired.  And we confirm our commitment to preserving your Intellectual Property in our Non-Disclosure Agreements and proposals.  Since I/O Technologies is based in the United States, your intellectual property rights are fully protected under US law.
